INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD 2014-17
With mankind evolving and heading towards global citizenship, it has become mandatory to ensure that our children are well- equipped to play the role of world citizens.
The British Council’s International School Award is an internationally acknowledged accreditation that recognizes and celebrates exemplary practices of internationalism in schools.
G.D.Goenka Public School became the proud recipient of the prestigious International School Award for the period 2014-17 in recognition of its commitment of developing global citizenship in young people and embedding international learning into the curriculum.
This momentous achievement was a culmination of yearlong activities comprising 13 diverse projects with global dimensions.
Within the curriculum international themes were explored in all subject areas as a part of the school’s on-going commitment to developing pupils’ awareness of global issues.
Along with the projects, the school students collaborated with international schools such as Holywell Chruch of England Primary School, Modern School of Education, Dubai and G/Sri Jinarathana M.V., Sri Lanka and shared their learning and experiences.
