Inter School Events
  • Seventeen Goenkans participated in the 3rd Invitational Roller Skating Championship 2017 held on 28th and 29th October, 2017 and brought laurels to the school by winning medals in various categories.
  • A student was facilitated with a Gold and Silver medal each in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Karate Championship 2017 and 9th Sanshikan Open Karate Championship organized at Talkatora Stadium on October 21, 2017.
  • Proud Goenkans upped their collars by clinching first position in Senior Boys, Junior Boys and Sub-Junior Boys category and Third Position in Senior Girls category in the Inter School Zonal Basketball Tournament of Zone XII organized by Delhi Directorate of Education and Activity Board from September 6 to September 8, 2017 at G.D. Goenka Public School, Sector-22, Rohini.
  • G.D. Goenka Public School, Sector-22, Rohini hosted its third Inter School Debate Competition- Prudentia 2017 on August 25, 2017. Vikas Bharati Public School, Sector-24, Rohini and G.D. Goenka Public School, Sector-48, Gurugram bagged the Best Debating team award in the Junior and Senior Category respectively while the much-coveted Rolling Trophy was claimed by G.D. Goenka Public School, PaschimVihar, New Delhi.
  • A plethora of Inter-School Competitions were organized at Lancer’s Convent, Rohini on August 25, 2017 wherein our students secured the Second position in ‘Madhubani Painting’ competition.
  • Our school team of 21 students secured 2nd position in Zonal Inter-School Yoga Competition in the Sub-Junior (Boys) category held at SKV, D-Block, Mangolpuri on 21st August 2017.
  • A total of 9 students of our school participated in the inter-school event ‘Van Mahotsav’ held at Maharaja Agrasen School, Pitampura on 5th August 2017. They participated in various events and won the first prize in ‘Texture Painting’.
  • The school participated in the Zonal Inter-School Badminton Competition from 1st August, 2017 to 5th August, 2017 in the Boys and Girls categories held at Haryana Shakti School, Kanjhawala and Geeta Senior Secondary School No.2, Sultanpuri respectively. Our school bagged the first position in Senior and Sub-Junior Boys and Girls category.
  • In the coveted SIMMIC hosted by Queen Mary’s School Rohini on 28 July 2017, our students bagged the first and third position in ‘Ensemble the Culture’ and ‘English Declamation’ respectively.
  • In teams of two, our students bagged the first position in ‘Antique Elegance’ and second position in ‘Geometry in Art’ contest organized as a part of ‘Unnat 2017’ at Indraprastha World School, PaschimVihar.
  • Our students won first position in Sub-Junior Boys and Junior Girls categories and Second position in Junior Boys and Sub-Junior categories in the Inter-School Zonal Table Tennis Tournament organised by Delhi Directorate Sports and Activity Board Zone XII from July 24 to 26, 2017 at G.D. Goenka Public School, Sector- 22, Rohini, Delhi.
  • Our enthusiastic Goenkans of classes 4 and 5 secured second position in ‘Sanskrit Hymns’ at ‘Amritkalasangamah’ – the Sanskrit inter-school competition organized by Amrita Vidyalayam, Saket on Friday, July 22, 2017
  • A team of our class X students won the first position in the ‘Rendezvous with Chemicals’ activity in ‘Quarks’ organised by the Chemistry Club of Bal Bharati School, Rohini on July 10, 2017.
  • The school tennis team made the alma mater proud by winning the Runner Up trophy in the Under-14 Boys category at the ADDIDAS Junior Open Inter-school Tennis Championship, 2017 organized by ADDIDAS from May 18, 2017 to May 21, 2017.
  • On 7th May 2017, a team of young skaters of our school proved their skill and talent by bagging one Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze medals in 2nd Open Inter-School Skating Championship, 2017 organized by Himalaya Public School, Sec- 7, Rohini, Delhi.
  • 2 students of class VIII bagged the second position in ‘Lingua Spectrum’ organized on April 29, 2017 as a part of Zest- The Interschool Competition by Vikas Bharati Public School, Rohini.
  • The school Table Tennis team claimed the honour of keeping Goenka’s flag flying high in the 13th Ramjas Inter School Table Tennis Championship held from April 21 to April 28, 2016 at Ramjas Public School, Day Boarding, Anand Parbat, New Delhi. The team participated in four different categories of the prestigious Championship and made the school proud by winning a host of medals.
  • The 3rd SPACE Annual Meet, the annual felicitation ceremony to recognize SPACE Achievers of the year 2016 was held on January 21, 2017 at New Delhi. Three students of the Middle School were awarded the International Achievers of Global Astronomy Month (GAM) in association with an international organization, Astronomers Without Borders (AWB). While three students won Astro-Poetry Contest under the category: Class I-VI, another student was awarded for stupendous performance in Astro-Art Contest under the category: 6 years and above.
  • G.D.Goenka Public School, Sector 22, Rohini organized its Annual Interschool Art Festival, ‘Eclectika 2016’ on 2 December 2015 to promote the talent and skills of young artists. Vishal Bharti Public School bagged the rolling trophy for scoring the highest marks in different categories of the competition.
  • Students of G.D. Goenka Public School, Sec-22, Rohini bagged the third position in the movie making event called ‘Ehsaas’ in Columban Fest held at St. Columbus,CP on November 12, 2016.
  • Goenkan Sports enthusiasts participated in ‘Sports Fiesta’ – a sports championship held at G.D.Goenka Public School, Gurgaon on Nov.18 & 19, 2016. The school teams participated in Lawn Tennis, Basket Ball, Skating and Taekwondo and made the school proud by winning medals in various categories.
  • The Goenkans bagged the first position in the Sub-Junior category and third position in the Junior category in the coveted C.B.S.E Cluster XX football tournament 2016-17 held at M.K.Convent School, Mungesh Pur, New Delhi from 22nd October to 3rd November 2016. Our team was also declared as ‘The Most Disciplined Team of the Tournament’.
  • Two of our students secured Silver and Bronze medals respectively in the CBSE Central Zone Taekwondo Championship 2016 held at Ch. B. S. Model School-Kirari, Delhi from October 19 – 22, 2016.
  • The school’s best tennis players enthusiastically brought home first position in five categories and second position in one category at the Inter-School Zonal Table Tennis tournament organized by the Delhi Directorate Sports and Activity Board Zone XII from September 1 to September 3, 2016 at G.D.Goenka Public School, Sector -22, Rohini.
  • The outstanding performance of Goenkans in ‘French – le mur des mots’ and ‘Gram-o-Pedia’ won us first and third position respectively in the potpourri of events at ‘Panoromique’, the Inter School competition held on August 29, 2016 at G.D.Goenka Public School, Model Town, Delhi.
  • GDGPS, Sarita Vihar organised an inter school fest, Goenkan Literazzi on August 23. Our students showed commendable performance in three events, bagging first prize in ‘Unveil the Script’, second prize in ‘Report it’, and third prize in ‘Poesy Slam’.
  • Our student brought laurels to the school by winning the first position in the final round of convention at the inter school competition – INTERFACE 2016 organized by St. Xavier’s Sr. Sec. School on August 19, 2016.
  • 9 of our students won trophies in various competitions at “Indradhanush” – Shev Bhatnagar Memorial Interschool Competition for children with special needs held at Sanskriti School , Chanakayapuri , New Delhi on 17 August 2016.
  • Delhi Directorate Sports and Activity Board Zone XII conducted Inter School Zonal Tournament from August16 to August 20, 2016 at S.B.V. Kamdhenu, Mangolpuri, New Delhi where the disciplined and enthusiastic Goenkans demonstrated their sporting skills in Sub Junior Boys and Sub Junior Girls category and won a host of medals – One bronze, five silver and three gold.
  • Two of our students won first prize in Quizzomania (French Quiz) of the inter school event ‘KALEIDOSCOPE’ organized by Gitarattan Jindal Public School, Sector-7 Rohini on August 8, 2016.
  • Goenkan girls won second position in Sub-Junior and Junior categories in the Inter School Zonal Hockey Tournament organized by Delhi Directorate Sports and Activity Board Zone XII from August1 to August 3, 2016 at Sarvodya Vidyalya Co-ed. Sr. Sec. School, Rani khera, New Delhi.
  • The budding chess players of our school won a host of medals at the Invitational Chess Tournament organised by Bal Bharti Public School, Sector-14, Rohini on July 28 and 30, 2016.
  • Two of our class X students secured the third position in the art competition organised as a part of Confluence 2016 – The Inter School Fest at K R Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri from May 5 to May 6, 2016.
  • Our student participated in ‘Hasyavyangan’, a standup comedy competition and bagged the first position at the interschool festival SATURNALIA-IV hosted by St. Margaret Senior Secondary School, Prashant Vihar on April 29, 2016.
  • Ramjas Inter School Table Tennis Tournament 2016 was organized by Ramjas Public School, Anand Parbat New Delhi. The school team Under-12 Boys became the semi finalist winning the third place. A student shone her way through the tournament having been declared the Best Player of the tournament in the Girls’ category.
  • Two students of class 9 participated in the Google Web Rangers Program, an initiative aimed at promoting safe use of the Internet, organised on January 28, 2016 at G D Goenka Public School, Dwarka.
  • Two students from Under-15 years category secured second and third positions respectively in the Rohini Table Tennis Association Championship-2016 organized by Rohini Table Tennis Association at Rohini Sports Complex on January 23 and 24, 2016.
  • Our students made us proud by winning two gold medals, one silver and two bronze in Taekwondo and a gold medal in Skating at the Sports fiesta 2015 organized by G.D.Goenka Public School Sec-48, Gurgaon on 27 & 28 November 2015.
  • Contesting against various schools from across the globe, Goenkans left their distinctive mark by winning the second prize in the ‘Business Plan’ competition and third prize in the ‘Ad Mad’ competition and receiving unceasing applause from the Environment Minister of Uttar Pradesh for creating an awe inspiring documentary on E- management at The International Youth convention on Commerce and Economics organised by City Montessori School, Lucknow from November 6 to November 9, 2015.
  • All-India Yoga Championship 2015-16 (National Patanjali Yoga Cup) was organized by Yoga Association of Haryana, from 31st October to 2nd November 2015 at Palwal, Faridabad (Haryana) wherein two students, each from Boys 12- 15 yrs category and Boys 5- 8yrs category bagged Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
  • The nifty ‘Skating Champion’ of the School brought laurels as she won first place in 500 m and second place – 1000 m in CBSE North India Skating Championship 2015-16. She even made her presence felt in Delhi State Skating Championship 2015-16 as she won second place in 500 m and Third Place in 1000 m. She was also selected for CBSE Nationals for Skating.
  • The 8th CMS VATAVARAN, a pioneering international festival of films on environment and wildlife was held from October 9-13, 2015 at Convention Centre in New Delhi. Themed as “Water for Life” with a special focus on “Conserving our Water Bodies”, public screenings of world’s best films on environment were held and a vast range of conservation issues were deliberated in interactive sessions which enriched the learning experience of our class X students.
  • The school hockey girls’ team gained third position in two categories i.e. – Under 18 (A) team and Under 18 (B) team in Five-A-Side Hockey Tournament organized by Hockey World Society held at Subhash Nagar Hockey Ground from October 1 to October 5, 2015. Three girls from the team were honored as the Best Players in their respective matches.
  • A Goenkan made us proud by securing second position in the 330m, 500m and 750m while another bagged the third position in all the three rounds at the 42nd Delhi State Roller Sports Championship.
  • The French department of our school participated in two sessions, namely “Digital / Future Learning” and “English Vinglish: a celebration of English in India” conducted by Goethe Institute and British Council respectively at the celebration of the European Day of Languages on 26th September at Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon.
  • A talented lot of students from G D Goenka Public School, Sector 22, Rohini won numerous accolades in Hockey, Badminton, Yoga and Football at the Inter School Zonal Sports Competition for the session 2015-16 that commenced on September 1, 2015.
  • A Goenkan secured first position in the Sanskrit Speech Competition at Zonal level organized by Delhi Sanskrit Academy on August 25, 2015. He was awarded with a certificate and a prize amount of Rs. 1200/-.
  • Goenkan Sports enthusiasts participated in 3rd National Tang Soo Do Championship-2015 organized by ITF Tang Soo Do Sports Federation of India, held at AnandDham Ashram, Najafgarh Road, New Delhi from August 7 to 9, 2015. Two Goenkans brought us laurels by seizing Bronze Medal each in Sub-Junior Boys category.
  • The school organized ‘Prudentia – 2015’, the Inter-School Debate Competition, on 25th July 2015. Modern School, Barakhamba Road won the Rolling Trophy for scoring highest marks in different categories of the competition. Two students of our school won the ‘Best Speaker’ award and the ‘Best Interjector’ award in the Junior and Senior category respectively.
  • Our young language enthusiast brought laurels to the school by bagging the second prize in the inter-school competition, ‘Goenkan Grandeur 2015’ organised by G.D.Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj on 30th April 2015.
  • Our school was awarded the ‘fair- play’ trophy at Delhi State Hockey School League 2015-16 organized by Delhi Hockey Association at Shivaji Stadium, New Delhi from 25th April to 30 April, 2015.
  • Two Goenkans were privileged to attend “Interactive session” with the acclaimed astronaut Ms. Sunita Williams at the American Centre, Kasturba Gandhi Marg on April 20, 2015. Ms. Williams shared her experience about her space explorations and inspired the young minds of India to pursue astronomy.
  • A V grader brought us laurels by securing the Champion Position in the order of merit at the 10th U C MAS Delhi State Level Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition 2015 organized by Abacus Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. & UCMAS(India) Network on April 19, 2015.
  • Two students each bagged second and third position in the Inter School Roller Skating Championship held at Remal Public School, Sec 3, Rohini.
