The careful integration of aesthetics and creativity into the framework of the mainstream school curriculum is indispensable. Despite its underlying function of nurturing students’ creative expression, it allows them to surrender to the unanticipated possibilities of the work as it unfolds, rendering them the ability to fashion multiple perspectives and see beyond the superficial.
